Voting is just the beginning of civic engagement. We must encourage our elected economic justice champions to continue the fight and challenge those who are not doing enough.

  • Make civic engagement a lifestyle

Engaging with our elected leaders is a muscle. The more we practice this both the easier it becomes (making us more likely to do it in the midst of our busy lives) and the more effective we become at it.

    go to town halls!

DO IT WITH FRIENDS AND MAKE IT SUSTANABLE

  • Track pending legislation and mobilize for its passage

Legislation fails to pass that COULD pass if elected representatives were pressured by their constituents, but most of the time most Americans have no clue that transformational legislation that could massively benefit them and improve their lives is pending. We must be more aware of legislation that has a shot at passage and mobilize to pressure our leaders to bring it to a vote and pass it.
